Fashion designing is one of the most demanding streams nowadays and will be high in demands in coming year. SKETCHING:  Fashion design is all about portraying your creative ideas. If you have good hands over sketching then it will be an added advantage for you learn fast and improve. But it is not necessary. You can learn all the skills while the course duration.

COLOR SENSE: To have good sense over colors about where to put which color, how to mix colors, to stay updated with upcoming trends, color forecast  etc. are very crucial skills that plays a major role in fashion industry.

PASSION: Just joining the course won’t take you anywhere. You must have some basic skills that can be polished through-out the course. Skills like drawing, sketching & basic computer knowledge. Basic knowledge in computer will definitely help you to grasp the graphics designing part very well. You must build a habit of reading because you have to read a lot of fashion magazines in order to stay updated with the latest trends & news on fashion. The very important skill everyone must possess is hard-work & dedication failing which can cost your entire career. Creativity was never god gifted! It is being built with passion & determination.

ELIGIBILITY:  The very basic requirement for fashion designing is after HSC (10 +2). Now again it depends whether you want to pursue a graduation course or a master’s course. For master’s you must have a graduation in any or related field. For admission, few colleges’ runs entrance test or aptitude tests and few colleges allow direct admission based upon your skills and interests.
